Butter Tart Squares
Yield:
Ingredients
Base:
2 cups unbleached stoneground flour
1 cup butter
1/2 cup cane sugar

Topping:
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

Base:

Combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.

Topping:

Cream butter and sugar together, then add eggs, flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Stir in raisins. Pour mixture over base. Bake at 350F for 20 to 25 minutes or until top appears slightly firm when touched. Let cool and enjoy!
