Yield: Approximately 48 crackers
1 1/2 cups ground flax seeds
1/2 cup whole flax seeds
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp salt, plus more for sprinkling
4 tbsp turmeric
3 tbsp garlic powder
In a bowl, combine all ingredients, and mix until a sticky dough forms. Spread the dough on a lined dehydrator tray, about 1/8 inch thick. Using a knife, score the dough into 1-2 inch squares. Dehydrate at 118*F for several hours. Break at the score lines and voila!
If you don't have a dehydrator you can use your oven. Set oven at lowest temperature, spread dough on a parchment paper lined cookie tray, put in the oven, and keep the door open a bit! Bake for approximately 5 hours - after a few hours just check to see if they crackers are getting crunchy. Enjoy!
