Yield: 12-15 biscuits
Ingredients
2c Whole Wheat Flour (Einkorn flour works too)4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2c lard, coconut oil or butter
1 egg
3/4 milk or cream
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450F. Cut baking powder into flour, then fork in the lard/oil/butter. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add the milk. Add liquid to dry ingredients and mix well. Sprinkle flour where you are planning to roll your dough, and lightly dust your rolling pin with flour. Place your dough on the floured surface, and sprinkle with more flour. Roll your dough about 1" thick, and cut into rounds with a cookie cutter. Place biscuits on baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes. Enjoy!
